Bosomtwe, Ashanti Region – The people of Lakeside Amakom in the Bosomtwe District have organized their annual end-of-year homecoming, with a strong focus on community development.
Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II, Akokofe Krontihene, who represented the Akokofehene, Nana Osako Adu Panin II, urged the youth to prioritize healthy relationships. He expressed concern about premature deaths among young people, which he said are often linked to unhealthy relationships.

“If you are a youth and know you do not love your partner, do not entertain them — it can lead to curses and shortened lives,” he advised.
Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II also appealed to Ghanaian youth to say no to drug abuse.
“Drug abuse can have severe and long-lasting consequences for young people,” he warned, highlighting its negative impact on health, academics, relationships, and future opportunities. He noted that since the adolescent brain continues to develop until the mid-20s, substance use poses serious risks.
He was accompanied by the Akokofe Krontihemaa, Nana Abena Boahemaa, as well as sub-chiefs of Akokofe.
The event aimed to refocus the community on development and the promotion of positive values.
