‘I Have Money, I Don’t Brag’ – Sticka Opens Up on His Wealth

Public perception often assumes that the wealth of politicians is derived solely from public office or questionable dealings, overlooking the private business ventures many maintain outside politics. This misconception has fueled criticism and stereotyping, a situation that has prompted the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah, popularly called Sticka, to push back against scrutiny on social media.

Using his own life as an example, the MP cited his numerous business and professional engagements as proof of years of hard work and discipline.

In a video interview on GHOne TV, shared on X on January 9, 2026, Amoah, who is over 50 years old, described his demanding daily schedule and wide range of entrepreneurial activities beyond politics.

According to him, he owns and runs several businesses, including consultancy services and the sale of commercial buses, commonly known as “207s,” among other ventures.

“I have money. I work hard. I don’t brag. I do plenty of things. I’m an entrepreneur, a consultant, I sell 207 buses. My office is in Labone; I recently relocated,” he said.

He further disclosed that he is involved in small-scale construction, owns a football club, and operates a pharmacy.

“I work hard. I don’t sleep much. I’m very playful, but I don’t even have friends I move around with,” he added.

The MP also highlighted his commitment to education and self-improvement, revealing that he holds a PhD and is currently studying law. He used the opportunity to caution the public against making derogatory remarks about others online.

“I’m a serious person. I’m over 50 years old. I have a PhD, and I’m doing law. I don’t rest. People should stop tagging and insulting other people,” he stressed.
