Ghanaian underground artiste Showboy has opened up about his frustrations in the music industry, expressing disappointment over his lack of progress despite significant investment.

According to the musician, he has poured both time and money into his craft, but the returns have been discouraging. He revealed that, despite releasing numerous songs, he rarely gets booked for shows—an issue he finds disheartening.

Showboy also reflected on his troubled past, which led to his return to Ghana, expressing regret over the decisions that may have derailed his career.

In a thread on X he poured out his frastration in the industry “Sometimes I regret it all …. Had a beautiful life in America… look at me now … suffering and struggling everyday ……”

“Trying my possible to best to do this music and don’t fall back doing anything fraud or scam or end up selling drugs ,I promised myself before coming out from prison ,I will focus on music and never do anything illegal … I have invested a lot in music ,Yet no results . No shows

Sometimes I feel so suicidal.. just feel like dying … I have tried it all …. Seen it all … nothing makes me happy …. Fuck the world” he said.
