One suspect has been arrested following a robbery incident captured in a viral video showing Okada riders in a dramatic chase at Kasoa Krispocity Amalia Down, in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers allegedly stormed homes at Kasoa Ofaakor and made away with valuables, including a Toyota Corolla S, television sets, air conditioners, and other household appliances worth millions of cedis.

In the viral video, a group of Okada riders was seen pursuing the suspects until one of them was eventually apprehended.

Confirming the incident, the Assemblyman for the Opeikuma-Kumbe Electoral Area, Hon. Adams Habibullah, commended the youth of Opeikuma for supporting the police in effecting the arrest. He noted, however, that some accomplices are still on the run, and expressed hope that the police would launch a full-scale manhunt to apprehend them.

The Assemblyman also expressed concern about the growing spate of robbery and insecurity in the municipality. He called on the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly and the government to strengthen security measures to safeguard lives and property in the area.
