Let’s Put Aside Division and Focus on Victory—Bawumia to NPP Executives

Former Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairmen to remain united and committed to the collective vision of rebuilding a stronger party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Dr. Bawumia made the remarks during an engagement with constituency chairmen at their Caucus meeting held in Kumasi over the weekend. The event formed part of the ongoing 2025 NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus Conference, which brought together over 275 chairmen and key party executives from across the country.

“I was privileged and thrilled to interact with our hardworking constituency chairmen at their Caucus meeting in Kumasi,” Dr. Bawumia said. “I reiterated the need for us to keep working together to achieve our shared desire of building a more united and stronger NPP for victory in 2028.”

The former Vice President, who served as the party’s flagbearer in the 2024 elections, emphasized the critical role constituency chairmen play in shaping the direction of the party at the grassroots level. He commended them for their dedication and encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and forward-thinking in their leadership.

Dr. Bawumia also highlighted the importance of internal cohesion, effective communication, and loyalty to party ideals as essential ingredients for political success. He expressed confidence in the NPP’s ability to recover from setbacks and position itself as a strong contender in future elections.

The 2025 Chairmen Caucus Conference, themed “Building Momentum: The Role of NPP Constituency Chairmen in Uplifting the Party Towards 2028 and Beyond,” marks a key milestone in the party’s post-election recovery and renewal efforts.
