Lawyer William Kusi, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Communications Team, commended the Speaker of Parliament for his exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin made the announcement of an indefinite adjournment of parliamentary proceedings on Tuesday, October 22, following a tumultuous day in the Chamber marked by heated disputes between Members of Parliament (MPs) from the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the issue of which caucus holds the Majority.
During the adjournment announcement, Speaker Bagbin briefly mentioned that he had received a communication from the Supreme Court directing him to halt his earlier ruling that declared four parliamentary seats vacant.
However, he did not provide further details on the communication, leaving MPs and observers in the dark about the implications of the Court’s directive.
In a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Lawyer William Kusi praised the Speaker’s decision, highlighting his intelligence in making decisions and demonstrating a strong sense of patriotism.
