At a MoU signing between Green Advocacy Ghana and Climate Watch Africa, Mr Yaw Amoyaw-Osei emphasized that climate change education is a critical tool for driving behavioural change and fostering sustainability, and it’s high time the Ghana government takes it seriously.

He noted that climate change education empowers people with knowledge to understand and address the climate crisis.

Mr Ishmael Baafi Boateng, Coordinator for Climate Watch Africa, said the partnership aims to simplify climate change information, making it accessible to ordinary Ghanaians.

He believes this will help break down complex climate jargon, enabling more people to understand the issue.

He stressed that after experts finalize their findings, it’s crucial for journalists to disseminate the information to every Ghanaian. He welcomed the partnership, saying it comes at a critical time when the world is grappling with the climate change crisis.

For his part, Daniel Owiredu, Programs and Partnership Manager at Green Advocacy Ghana, stressed that while climate change is in the educational syllabus, it’s time for action beyond “talk shops”.

Mr Wiredu urged Ghanaians to grasp the urgency of the issue to avoid impending catastrophe.
