Ghana Embassy in Doha calls on stranded nationals to share travel info following flight suspension

The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has urged Ghanaians affected by the suspension of commercial flight operations in Qatar to submit their travel details to the mission to receive assistance with onward journeys.

In a notice issued on March 12, 2026, the Embassy said the call comes after the closure of airspace and the suspension of regular commercial flights, which has disrupted travel plans for many passengers.

Ghanaian travellers holding valid tickets with Qatar Airways, whether in transit in Doha or residents awaiting departure, have been asked to provide their information, including names, passport biodata pages, and copies of flight tickets.

The Embassy explained that the documents will enable it to coordinate with relevant authorities to support affected travellers and facilitate their departures to intended destinations.

Citizens have been advised to send the required details via the Embassy’s official email to ensure timely assistance.

The mission assured that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to provide support to Ghanaians impacted by the flight disruptions and to ensure smooth arrangements for their onward travel from Doha.
