The second individual, Paulina Oforiwaa, who was also granted bail, was charged with selling expired alcoholic beverages.

The court granted bail to the school in the sum of GH¢30,000 with two sureties, while the other accused was granted bail in the sum of GH¢20,000 with one surety.

Meanwhile, two other individuals were fined for related offences. Mama Joyce was fined GH¢1,120 for selling expired alcoholic products, while Eva was fined GH¢1,320 for assaulting a sanitation enforcement officer who was on duty.

The court ordered the fined individuals to pay their respective penalties, while the two persons granted bail are expected to reappear before the court on April 15, 2026.

The Awutu Senya East Municipal Environmental Officer in Charge of Prosecution, Mr. Paa Kwesi Asiedu, spoke to the media after the proceedings.

Additionally, Mr. Asiedu reiterated the municipality’s commitment to enforcing sanitation laws and ensuring public safety, while cautioning the public against attacking officials on duty.
