Compensate me first before I drop police case — Woman in Bills Micro Credit incident

The woman involved in the viral confrontation with alleged staff of Bills Micro Credit, Hagar Emmasey, says she will not withdraw the case from the police unless she is compensated first.

Speaking on Adom FM, Madam Hagar revealed that management of Bills Micro Credit visited her home on Saturday morning and evening following the incident.

According to her, the officials asked her to withdraw the case from the police and promised to give her whatever she wanted because she was right in the matter.

“They came to my house and asked me to withdraw the case, saying they would give me whatever I want because I did nothing wrong,” she said.

However, she expressed doubts about the promise, stating that the company might fail to compensate her if she withdraws the case first.

Hagar therefore insisted that any compensation must be made before she considers dropping the case at the police station.

She added that the management of Bills Micro Credit is expected to meet with her and her family today to discuss possible compensation.

Hagar also called on the government and the company’s management to take action against the staff involved, noting that their conduct has caused reputational damage to the company.

“The staff were sent to collect debt, not to assault me,” she added.
