A motorcyclist has lost his life following a rear-end collision at Anyaa Market in Accra.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident occurred at about 9:44 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2026, and involved a motorcycle and a heavy-duty truck.

Firefighters from the Anyaa Fire Station promptly responded to the scene to provide assistance and ensure the area was secured.

The body of the deceased has since been handed over to the Police for onward conveyance to the mortuary.

Police have commenced investigations to establish the circumstances leading to the crash and determine its cause.
