Two suspected robbers are in critical condition after being shot by police in the Ashanti Region during an attempted robbery at the home of a Court of Appeal judge.
The suspects, reportedly armed with cutlasses and scissors, attempted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, to break into the judge’s vehicle when they were confronted by a police officer on duty at the residence.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command confirmed that the officer discharged his firearm in response to the threat, injuring both suspects.
They are currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital under police guard.
Investigations into the attempted robbery remain ongoing.
