President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has commended Ghanaians for what he describes as a wise and necessary decision to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

In a post shared on social media, Cudjoe stated that the outcome of the election was crucial to preventing the country from falling into a deeper economic crisis.

According to him, had the electorate not taken that decisive step, Ghana would have been “in a ditch” by now.

He attributed the country’s current signs of economic stability to the choices made by voters during the last election, suggesting that the change in leadership helped avert further financial turmoil.

Cudjoe went further to describe the previous NPP administration as a malignant or cancerous economic mafia that sat on the progress of the West African country.

His post read “KokloBut wait..actually it is true. If we had not uprooted this malignant or cancerous economic mafiso in the last election we wouldn’t have had the stability we are witnessing”.
