A violent robbery attack has occurred in the Offinso South Municipal area in the Ashanti Region, leaving one person dead and several others injured.

The incident took place around 12:56 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, on a road stretch between Anyinasusuo and Sakam.

Eyewitnesses reported that a group of armed robbers ambushed a passenger vehicle traveling along the route, attacking the occupants and stealing their belongings.

Sadly, the vehicle’s driver’s mate died from injuries while being rushed to St. Patrick Hospital. Several other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees, with one woman currently in critical condition and receiving emergency care at the Anyinasusuo Clinic.

The unexpected attack caused chaos in the area, with terrified passengers fleeing into nearby bushes for safety.

The incident has shocked the entire community, prompting many residents to call for increased security on the roads.
