Marfo Elvis’s Educational Success: Kofi Adade Foundation Extends Heartfelt Thanks

The Chief Executive Officer of the Kofi Adade Foundation, who also served as the former Assembly Member for the Kumawu Dadease Electoral Area, Hon. Kofi Adade, has expressed profound gratitude to the Almighty God and individuals who have financially supported Marfo Elvis, a brilliant but needy student of Adisadel College, on his educational journey.

Hon. Adade recounted that Marfo Elvis, who secured a scholarship from the Kofi Adade Foundation to study at Adisadel College and achieved an outstanding 8A1s in the recently released WASSCE results, initially struggled to find financial support to pursue a degree in medicine.

Following a public announcement of his situation, several individuals stepped in to help. The Member of Parliament for the Kumawu Constituency, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, contributed GHC 10,000 toward Marfo Elvis’s education. Similarly, Mr. Francis Opoku Asare, also known as Kwame B, provided GHC 5,000.

Hon. Adade also expressed gratitude to the Kumasi Metro Director of Education, Mr. David Oppong, for facilitating a connection to Mr. Kelvin Kwaku Yeboah, who offered additional support. Furthermore, an alumnus of Adisadel College, Mr. Kabutey, voluntarily covered six years of tuition and hostel fees, securing Marfo Elvis the opportunity to pursue a medical degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

He also acknowledged the efforts of journalists who amplified the foundation’s cause through their publications, leading to the positive response that has transformed Marfo Elvis’s educational prospects.

Speaking to the media, Hon. Kofi Adade urged Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Assemblies to establish special scholarship schemes to support brilliant but needy students pursuing medical degrees. He proposed that such initiatives include contractual agreements, requiring beneficiaries to serve their respective districts upon completing their education.
