2024 Election: EC approves 13 presidential aspirants to contest; 11 disqualified

The Electoral Commission (EC) has officially approved 13 candidates to compete in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

Following a comprehensive vetting process, the list comprises individuals from diverse political backgrounds, including candidates from major parties and independents.

This announcement follows months of intense political campaigns and stringent qualification assessments by the EC to verify that each candidate meets the necessary criteria.

Other presidential candidates disqualified by the EC include Nana Stephens Adjepong, Paul Perkoh, James Kwesi Oppong, John Enyonam Kwakwu Kpikpi, Dr Samuel Sampong Ankrah and Nii Amu Darko,

The rest are Samuel Apea-Danquah, Desmond Abrefah, and Kofi Asamoah Siaw (Progressive People’s Party).
