My child is being mocked at school over my dismissal from NPP – Buaben Asamoa reveals
Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has recently revealed that his child has become a target of ridicule at school due to his expulsion from the party.
Buaben Asamoa is one of four individuals whose NPP membership was revoked after they publicly endorsed Alan Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change and a former member of the NPP. The other individuals affected by this decision are Hopeson Adorye, Nana Ohene Ntow, and Boniface Abubakar Siddique.
These members’ elimination was publicly disclosed in a letter bearing the signature of General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua.
During a conversation with Kwesi-Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Buabena Asamoa revealed that the announcement of their sack has affected his family.
“When you offer yourself to lead people, it is a huge responsibility. In my case, it has affected my wife and children. With the question you are asking me now, my child has become a victim of mockery because his father was dismissed. Now, he is unable to focus, and it is affecting his studies,” he said.
The former MP asserted that, the NPP should not take lightly circumstances that led to his dismissal
“Some are saying I left the party because I am annoyed. That cannot be taken lightly. As they keep saying that he is annoyed because someone else is leading the party, they should know that they themselves are annoying and displeasing. I am not annoyed at anything going on,” he added.
