24-Hour Economy Programme Will Be Refined as We Learn and Grow – Goosie Tanoh

Goosie Tanoh, Special Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy Initiative, has clarified that the newly launched programme is not a rigid framework but a dynamic one intended to evolve with time.

Speaking at the official launch of the initiative on Wednesday, July 2, Tanoh emphasized that the secretariat welcomes constructive criticism and remains open to feedback from the public.

He noted that the programme is designed to adapt to changing conditions and will be fine-tuned as it progresses.

“This is not a finished product,” Tanoh said. “We are listening to the people and ready to make the necessary adjustments as the realities on the ground shift.”

“We at the secretariat are confident that we will continue to receive constructive criticism and suggestions for further improvement. Criticism is always welcome,” Tanoh said.

He described the 24-hour economy as a “living programme, rooted in science and firm social democratic principles,” explaining that it is structured to adapt to practical realities over time.

Tanoh noted that flexibility will be important for long-term success and that lessons learned along the way will help improve implementation.

“We will learn many lessons along the way and make numerous adjustments. This is the only way a programme can transform our society in the short, medium, and long term,” he added.

He also commended President Mahama’s leadership, saying, “We can say without a doubt that our President is a true champion of responsible entrepreneurship and national transformation.”

Tanoh concluded by saying the programme’s success will depend on input from all sectors of society and a practical, honest approach to problem-solving.
